Model sheet for Steve, his girlfriend Sassy calls him Steve-o. I'll be animating this lil guy this week! I'll find out Tuesday if I gotta redo this model sheet...

Steve, Suicidal Squirrel #11 of the SSS (Suicidal Squirrel Society)...this is one brave little dude! That, or crazy...

Just thought I'd post some of his sketches from my sketchbook, I'll have to do a full model sheet for him (due this week . _.) and then start the process of animating him!

Lilandra & Lilani

Just a very very quick coloring of some line work I did last year or so of Lilandra and Lilani. Lilandra is from my first book, The Fairen, and Lilani is in the 3rd book of the trilogy, which has yet to be titled. Lilani is Lilandra's (or Lily) descendent.

Sophie

The final completed version of the character bust for class. I spent yet another 4 hours on it today...so in total about 18 hours. Tried a whole new technique, painting directly onto the lineart layer! I like this, and I'll try to do more like it in the future!

Character Bust Close Up

I had to redo it! Aargh, yeah I know, but I kept digging myself further and further into a hole with the other...This time, however, I'm trying something new! And I'm pleased with the results, even though I have a very long way to go before it's finished! And it's due like on Wednesday (gulp) . _.

Illustration WIP

Yes, even more WIP-ness! All the WIP's I've been doing are all due this coming week! I really need to step it up, I'm so slow! :P
Done on a peach canson paper, drawn in red lead pencil, then colored with Prisma pencils. This is a gradiation piece with contrasting colors, so the flowers are violet and the woman's hair is going to be a gradiation of yellow. There's going to be other elements as well, (more than likely fantasy! bwahaha) =)

Character bust

My drawing for Digital Ink & Paint, a character bust that we have to paint in Photochop. I had more complex, realistic ones, but went the simplier route. I hope the "less is more" theory works for me...

And then today (1/17/07) I started to paint!

Sketchbook highlights

Highlights from my sketchbook! For one of my classes (that I think I'm gonna lurve, Digital Ink and Paint) we had to draw a bust of ourselves or one of our own characters, so these were just practice! I don't think I'm going to end up using any of these though, haha....

The Pack

The Pack consists of three Native American sisters, from back to front: Crimson (oldest), Azhure, and Amber (youngest) Wolfheart. They have the ability to transform into wolves...

The wolf sketch was done in .5 blue pencil, app. 10 minutes

The debut of the first villian in "Union", Cookie! She's like the right hand 'man' of the leader of the bad guys...

The Aviator

Time for some more "Union" art! What started out as a minor secondary character in my outline, the Aviator is now a major character, with a crucial part in the story arc. Here is her Mini Bio:

Parents: Capt. Harvey Clark (father), Stefania Gionni Clark (mother)
Siblings: None

After gradiating at the top of her class, Isabella "Izzy" Clark became one of the best fighter pilots in the US Air Force. It was her dream since childhood to be a pilot, following in the footsteps of her father, who died in combat when she was very little. After a "freak accident" that ultimately killed her partner (and fiance), she retired from the Armed Services. At the time she didn't know that her powers had finally come about...the ability to travel through time. Now she is a private pilot, working with the Union team.

My second rendition of Narcissa Malfoy...I had some people ask me why I made her hair curly and stuff..and is that how I really see her? Well...I do see her wearing her hair tight in a bun, but curly hair is more fun to draw...I hate playin favorites with my babies, but this one is definetly up there. Hand drawn & inked.
